We are searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program. You will work collaboratively with customers, developers, and system engineers to document processes, work instructions and workflows.
Working with internal teams on processes, workflows, documentation etc.
Documenting easy-to-understand SOPs and process guides.
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
Researches and builds knowledge about services, technology, or concepts to be documented.
Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension, documents/writes, and edits technical information accordingly.
Revises, edits or updates instructions, processes, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary.
Creates, adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines.
Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
Research, create, and maintain process templates that uphold organizational standards, and allow for each data migration.
Attend meetings, take minutes, and track actions.
Assist in organizing team document repositories and ensure they are kept up-to-date.
Additional responsibilities include acting as a scribe on incident calls, which may take place after hours or weekends and may require extended working hours with minimal advance notice
Bachelor’s degree or 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
Knowledge of SharePoint would be a plus (will be used for repository of documentation).
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Extremely proficient writing skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
Records/Library experience preferred.
