Our structure enables our teams to maintain their own unique, regional culture.We currently have an opportunity for an Account Executive - Large and Complex Risk to join our Commercial Lines Department . The selected employee will be responsible to independently lead service and retention of assigned large commercial insurance book. This role requires a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making based on industry knowledge and experience. Incumbent will provide professional guidance, expertise, and service to clients, by developing professional and collaborative relationships with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues.Ideal candidate will have extensive experience servicing large Commercial accounts. Primary Responsibilities include:
Effectively manage a book of Large & Complex Clients with a minimum book size of $1M in revenue.
Growing client loyalty by building positive relationships and providing high levels of advocacy, excellent service, and professional communication.
Handling renewals, service requests, claims, billing and new policies.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the markets and their appetites, underwriting guidelines, submitting and procedures.
Review all applications, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy Complete loss/claim analysis and summaries SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the relationship on key accounts by managing the client relationship with limited Producer involvement.
Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business targeting a retention rate equal to or exceeding HUB NEE’s annual retention goal.
Develop and maintain deep relationship with key stakeholders within the clients organization, ideally in the ‘C’ suite, to say abreast of changes (i.e. expansions, layoffs, major renovations) that could impact insurance service needs and ensure that all insurance service needs are met.
Direct and drive all aspects of client service, coordination of marketing strategy, and renewal of book of business. Uses judgment and creativity based on industry experience and internal resources to produce favorable results and solutions to address clients’ insurance needs.
Through analysis of book, uses discretionary judgment to make decisions, independent of manager and producer, on book of business. These include non-routine coverage issues and questions, denial of claims, renewal strategies for key accounts, and interpretation of non-routine provisions of insurance contracts.
Drives and manages the renewal process with internal team including capturing pre-renewal information and putting together complete renewal submissions 120 days in advance of renewal.
Negotiates renewal terms, conditions, and pricing directly with incumbent insurance carriers if remarketing is not part of marketing strategy. Organizes and drives collaboration and strategy with central marketing department resources when remarketing is necessary, as desired.
Acquires deep understanding of clients’ business and insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance programs to determine suitability.
Leads and drives resolution of escalated complex service issues between clients and insurance carriers that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve.
Leads client meetings, including renewal and stewardship meetings.
Counsel clients on coverage issues, and research coverage as needed. Will assess risks based on clients’ conditions and determine proper coverage to insure and mitigate those risks.
Maintains effective relationships with carrier markets.
Owns the production and delivery of new business and renewal proposals, exposure/rate comparison and insurance summaries.
Effectively manages, develops and delegates work to Account Manager or Assistant Account Manager, if applicable, and ensure consistent workflow among team members. May oversee functions performed by aforementioned roles, if applicable, including approval of renewal strategies and resolution of client and carrier issues.
Supports, mentors, and trains Account Manager or Assistant Account Manager, as necessary.
Develops new business from existing accounts. Identifies opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services where appropriate.
Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and ensures updates are made to all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary via self-entry or delegation. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems through self-entry and/or delegation.
Provides access to local, national, and international experts, resources, and tools across HUB’s footprint to meet client goals based on their risk profile & industry.
Be a technical resource to others including on other “House” accounts.
Reviews and/or arranges for review of contracts for clients as requested.
Travels on company business as required.
Prepares reports for management as required.
Attends industry related continuing education training and courses Performs other duties and projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS :
7+ years insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in an account management or underwriting role preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills.
Strong data entry skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong organization and follow up skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Proficient in Word, Excel, internet utilization.
Applied Agency Management System experience preferred but not required.
Currently licensed in good standing.
