Job Summary

Responsible for providing human resources leadership and oversight for multiple corporate global functions (Finance, Strategy, Technology, Legal, Communications and HR). Provide organizational development and strategic support in designing and implementing programs in support of people initiatives, assist in multi-level recruitment, employee relations and mediation of workplace issues. Participate in business strategic planning across corporate functions and be the strategy leader for people implications. This position is open to being remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide high-level partnership, coaching and consultation to senior leaders on a variety of HR-related areas, including organizational structure and development, succession, performance management, recruitment and retention, and compensation decisions.

  • Implement and optimize human resources programs, policies and procedures to meet the business needs. This includes understanding workforce planning, reviewing data for insights and trends, and determining people priorities.

  • Drive a focus on employee engagement and help shape culture to ensure retention, motivation, and growth of employees.

  • Lead recruitment activities for senior leadership roles; screen applicants; interview candidates; process verbal and written job offers; arrange relocations as necessary.

  • Manage a team of HR business partners who support all aspects of HR supporting people leaders and employees in the global functions.

  • Actively participate as a member of the Charles River HR Leadership team, collaborating on People Strategy deliverables and developing the HR organization.

  • An additional part of the role is to be the focal point and owner across HR on human resources policies and procedures specifically focused on employee relations, working closely with legal.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in Human Resources or related discipline.

  • Experience: 15 or more years related experience and/or training, including at least three years in a senior management role with an emphasis on organizational development and employee relations. Ideally has supported global functional team before as HR Business Partner.

  • Experience in supporting multinational operations and/or working within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment strongly preferred.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Certification: SPHR preferred.

  • Other: Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Strong project management and change leadership experience. Familiar with HRIS systems, reporting and data analytics.
