This is a hybrid position with an on-site requirement 2x per week in Wilmington, MA.

The IT Network Manager oversees all aspects of the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN equipment, as well as managing the Cisco VOIP system. This role involves evaluating the current network for enhancement opportunities, supervising hardware and software installations, and facilitating staff training for seamless technology transitions. Additionally, the IT Network Manager ensures system reliability, provides VoIP support, and strategizes the company's voice and data network development. Managing a dedicated team for 24x7 network operations, collaborating with vendors, and delivering network performance metrics are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the current network to identify areas for enhancement or upgrades.

  • Oversee the installation of new hardware and software.

  • Train staff on new equipment and applications for smooth transitions.

  • Monitor the system to maintain uninterrupted service.

  • Support VoIP systems, including Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and Gateway administration.

  • Manage LAN, WLAN, and WAN equipment, ensuring efficient setup and support.

  • Define strategy and roadmap for the company's voice and data network.

  • Monitor WAN for outages, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues.

  • Work on vendor RFPs, analyzing proposals for network improvements.

  • Collaborate with vendors to implement and remove data services.

  • Provide KPIs for the data and voice networks.

  • Manage a team for 24x7 network operations, offering guidance and feedback.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in network management, particularly with Cisco hardware.

  • Proficiency in Cisco VOIP systems, including Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and Gateway administration.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team supervision.

  • Knowledge of hardware and software firewalls, IDS, and load balancers.

  • Ability to develop strategies and roadmaps for voice and data networks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions.

  • Experience in monitoring and providing KPIs for data and voice networks.

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP are preferred.

  • Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is advantageous.

  • Prior experience in IT management, networking, and cloud integration/migration is a plus.

  • Availability for on-call duties 24x7x365.
