We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Datawarehouse Developer who specializes in Microsoft technologies and is also open to working with Oracle and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems using Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security. The Senior Database Developer will collaborate closely with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to support various applications and business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Design and Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database structures, including tables, views, indexes, and schemas using Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development and data processing.

  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other performance tuning techniques.

  • Data Integration and ETL Processes:

  • Design and develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse or operational databases.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across different systems and environments.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data processing.

  • Query Optimization:

  • Analyze and optimize SQL queries to improve execution times and reduce resource consumption.

  • Implement indexing strategies to speed up data retrieval operations.

  • Rewrite complex queries to make them more efficient and easier to maintain.

  • Collaborate with developers to optimize queries embedded within applications.

  • Cross-Platform Integration:

  • Work with Oracle databases and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW) to support cross-platform data integration and reporting.

  • Develop and maintain data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and FAW.

  • Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Oracle and FAW technologies.

  • Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and other IT team members to understand requirements and provide database solutions.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

  • Mentor and guide junior database developers and other team members.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, processes, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in database development and administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

  • Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL programming, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL programming.

  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.

  • Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report development.

  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence.

  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

  • Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security management using Microsoft SQL Server tools.

Additional Requirements:

  • Expertise with MS SQL Database and other Azure data services.

  • Experience with Oracle databases and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW) is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
