Job Description:
Winchester Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, has a new Clinical Lead RN opening on our Labor & Delivery Team. Be part of the mission to deliver exceptional personalized care within our Magnet-designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 229-bed hospital. As a Clinical Lead Nurse for our Labor & Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the following:
Works collaboratively with the nurse manager/director in the planning and implementing of patient care and performance improvement for a specific unit.
Demonstrates clinical expertise in the assigned area and fosters a climate of clinical and professional excellence.
Promotes patient care continuity and enhances patient throughput.
Functions effectively in patient crisis situations. Coordinates the triage, stabilization and/or transfer of patients to the appropriate level of care. Supports staff, patients and others as workload increases and effectively redirects staff to increase productivity.
Responsible and accountable for the day to day operational decision making, and oversees the Registered Nurses and ancillary staff in the performance of their daily duties.
Develops and promotes collaborative and collegial relationships with physicians and interdepartmental personnel in order to enhance patient care and patient flow.
Mentors, coaches, and directs personnel to ensure provision of effective and safe patient care according to established standards of care.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
At least two years of work experience as a nurse and one year clinical experience relevant to the unit’s patient population
