Cooperative for Human Services Inc. is a multi-service organization that provides residential services, independent living supports, and guardianship services for adults with intellectual, developmental and other related disabilities. We are looking for House Support Specialists to join our team and provide outstanding care and support to the individuals we serve! Our House Support Specialists work inside our residential programs to help prepare meals, meal planning, meal sharing and upkeep of the house. We have full time and part time positions available (9am-3pm and 8am-4pm). Both weekday and weekend shifts are available. We have over 45 residential programs located in Northeastern Massachusetts. Form meaningful relationships with individuals we serve Participate in meal planning for assigned residential program(s), taking into consideration meals you enjoy preparing, as well as the preferences of individuals served. Compile a list of ingredients and equipment needed to prepare your chosen meals for the week; Provide supervisor with a grocery list in advance Prepare chosen family-style meals for individuals and staff Interact with staff and individuals before, during, and after meal time. Clean the kitchen and dining areas after meals as needed. Clean all parts of the home including but not limited to common living spaces, bathrooms, individuals rooms. Ensure laundry is done. Wash, dry, sort and fold laundry for the individuals in the home. Requirements First Aid and CPR Certification required before starting employment - we will help you obtain this! Valid U.S. driver?s license required MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification preferred - we will help you obtain this! High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift up to 30lbs Ability to read and write in English Familiarity with computers
