The Raytheon team is looking for a Scrum Master (SM) for an agile team focused on requirements analysis and mission planning to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. The MDS department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The SM is responsible for the execution of a subset of the engineering scope for the AN/TPY-2 Programs. The SM is responsible for definition, coordination and execution of the technical tasks for their team. Specific responsibilities include:
Sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and standups
Backlog verification and management
Agile metric tracking
Identification and resolution of impediments
Performance data analysis and MATLAB automation
In addition to the SM-specific responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to execute the primary activities of the team including performance assessment tasks surrounding the evaluation of threats, requirements and scenarios to verify system performance, mission planning tasks revolving around the creation and evaluation of radar inputs to support test events and fielding activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to build the team’s abilities, provide technical direction, remove roadblocks and be able to work with both internal and external customers. They will also be expected to support proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Experience leading a technical effort
Execution of technical, cost and schedule performance
Active Secret Security Clearance (DoD)
Qualifications We Value:
Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements
Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs
Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development
Experience with Python scripting
Experience with Mission Planning activities
Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning
Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews, (particularly associated with SRR, PDR and CDR).
Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practice
Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics
Existing DoD Security Clearance
PhD/Master’s Degree in Engineering, or relevant discipline (Math, Physics or Business)

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
