Ethos Veterinary Health Associate Medical Director in Woburn, Massachusetts

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking to for an Associate Medical Director (AMD) to join our team.

The Associate Medical Director, in conjunction with the Medical Director and Regional Medical Director, will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations of their assigned departments within the hospital, serve as a mentor to staff, and lead the advancement of high-quality patient care and client service. The Associate Medical Director will also work in collaboration with the hospital leadership to maintain and build our relationships with the referring community.

We are seeking board-certified individuals with at least five years of specialty experience in their field and possess strong emotional intelligence; those who are self-aware, have positive attitudes, authenticity, and empathy toward others. The ideal candidate will have completed a residency and be board-certified in their specialty, have proven leadership abilities, strong mentoring and team building skills, excellent communication with colleagues and the referring community, and possess a foundation of business skills to work alongside the Medical Director and Hospital Director to support the growing success of the hospital.

Our 36,000-square foot hospital, located 11 miles north of Boston, is home to one of the premier level 1 emergency and specialty centers in New England. We offer specialty care in Surgery, Anesthesia, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Nutrition, and Critical Care. Additionally, our busy emergency department consists of internship-trained veterinarians, board-certified Criticalists, residents and emergency specialty interns who provide high quality care 24-hours per day.

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is supported by approximately 50 veterinarians, over 100 veterinary technicians, an in-house diagnostic laboratory with full time clinical pathologist, call center, and a compounding pharmacy.
