Provides technical support to the automation engineers to support designing, building, and testing automation equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical and administrative support to automation engineering including data collection and data entry.
Provides assistance related to review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Review, revise and draft standard operating procedures, including work instructions and process documents.
Train operators and other employees on new equipment and/or new processes.
Troubleshoots automation equipment prior to and during production.
Mechanical and electrical assembly of components from engineering drawings.
Fabrication of machine components and systems using aluminum framing.
Layout, wire, assemble, and troubleshoot electrical control systems used in automated machinery.
Manage workflow of 3D printers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; preferred Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing /technical experience required; preferably in a technician capacity.
• Strong statistical, analytical and decision making sense of urgency skills.
• Technical writing experience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents)
• Proficient in MS office software including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Must possess a high degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
• Experience with PLCs and programming.
• 3D CAD modeling and 3D printing experience
