Provides technical support to the automation engineers to support designing, building, and testing automation equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to automation engineering including data collection and data entry.

  • Provides assistance related to review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Review, revise and draft standard operating procedures, including work instructions and process documents.

  • Train operators and other employees on new equipment and/or new processes.

  • Troubleshoots automation equipment prior to and during production.

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of components from engineering drawings.

  • Fabrication of machine components and systems using aluminum framing.

  • Layout, wire, assemble, and troubleshoot electrical control systems used in automated machinery.

  • Manage workflow of 3D printers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; preferred Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.

• 3-5 years of manufacturing /technical experience required; preferably in a technician capacity.

• Strong statistical, analytical and decision making sense of urgency skills.

• Technical writing experience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents)

• Proficient in MS office software including Excel, Word & PowerPoint

• Must possess a high degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

• Experience with PLCs and programming.

• 3D CAD modeling and 3D printing experience
