BILH Primary Care is pleased to offer a unique pathway to a career in healthcare with a special paid training program. Ideal for those with no prior experience but sincerely interested in medical assisting. Are you passionate about helping others? Clinical Assistants partner with the health care delivery team to ensure the patient is cared for with the highest level of quality and respect. Our providers rely on the Clinical Assistant to communicate with the patient and assure that their visit runs smoothly and efficiently.The Clinical Assistant Training Program is an 8 week paid learning experience, the first 6 weeks 9:00 am to 3:30pm daily where students will be instructed on prepping an exam room, clinical intake with patients, vital signs and so much more!

Job Description:

The Clinical Assistant Training Program begin s on September 11, 2023. The deadline to apply is August 7, 2023. Classes will be held at 8 Presiden tial Way, Woburn, MA . Your internship can be in one of our 84 Practices closer to your home -we have practices throughout Eastern MA.

As a Clinical Assistant Trainee, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to your success. This 8-week full time, benefit eligible program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to thrive as a Medical Assistant. You will learn how to prepare exam rooms, interact with patients and collect medical history, take vital signs, reconcile medications, and more!

Program Schedule:

  • Weeks 1-2 : 30 hours of classroom time, covering topics including medical terminology, vital signs, and medical documentation.

  • Weeks 3-7 : One day per week in a practice and four days in the classroom.

  • Week 8 : 40 hours of hands-on training in one of our 84Primary Care practices with mentorship within the Practice.

  • Week 9-beyond ? Our BILH Workforce Development and Talent Acquisition teams will work with you to find your permanent position within the organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 years

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of others

  • A willingness to learn and a positive attitude

  • Customer service experience is a plus
