Position Summary:Run assigned extruder machines and responsible for making sure end product is correct and in spec.Hours: 6am – 2:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, Monday-Friday.
Check assigned extrusions every hour using verniers, ohm meters, and pin gauges.
Check material height, weight, outside diameter, inside diameter, resistance temperature, rpm and pressure, and record in computer.
Use internal system to input what machines are running and what material is being used in order to hand off to next shift.
Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned machines as well as cleaning machines.
Reload machines when material is getting low; requires obtaining material from inventory freezer, thawing material and cutting specific amount to reload into machine minimizing waste.
Obtain correct die for individual job and cleaning die machine.
Clean dies when order is complete and place back in correct location.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment and be able to multi-task.
Must be able to read and interpret work orders and blue prints.
2 years manufacturing experience required.
