Position Summary:Provides leadership in the creation/implementation of automation systems for existing and new manufacturing processes. Focus on providing long-term support for manufacturing locations in the Asia, Europe & North America. Develops a comprehensive training program and documentation for all projects implemented.
Manage and lead a team of Mechanical and Automation Engineers to design, build, upgrade automation equipment
Understand the material characteristics of Parker-Chomerics products and how to apply them in a high-volume application
Work with third party system integrators to deliver high quality automation equipment
Create and implement robust, scalable, and high-quality automation solutions for manufacturing environment
Identify and specify required equipment and subsystems to improve on new and existing manufacturing process
Devise specification and in-depth documentation for their design of automation system and subsystems
Create, Control and Modify programs for various control systems (examples include CNC, PLC/HMI, etc.)
Design, quote, and create equipment/fixtures to aid production processes (structure, process, wiring, sensors).
Modify current equipment to update process requirements.
Assist with Kaizen activities and Engineering projects.
Evaluate part drawings and sketches to understand product design and specification in developing manufacturing equipment.
Provide training for all associates on new equipment operations
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or System Engineering. Advance Degree Preferred
Two - Five years of implementing automation or robotics in a manufacturing environment
Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills
Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.
