Ethos Veterinary Health National Construction Project Manager in Woburn, Massachusetts

Ethos Veterinary Health is looking for a full-time National Facilities Project Manager to join our growing team.

In this role you will assume primary responsibility for project functions associated with the design and construction of new facilities as well as additions and major renovations for hospital facilities. You will direct and oversee all activities from program development, conformance with design specifications, budget guidelines and compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the design, permitting, and construction of all projects using established processes, experience, and expertise

  • Plays critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders

  • Regularly monitors the progress of all sites by completing site visits

  • Ensures the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained

  • Tracks savings opportunities and cost avoidance for client documentation

  • Oversees document preparation and completion

  • Creates and evaluates project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status reporting to internal and external parties

  • Maintains a dashboard of project status and develops KPI’s to monitor and compare projects

  • Identifies best practices and implements procedures to improve projects

  • Designs, implements, and manages best practice construction process models

  • Responsible for reducing overall costs as it relates to construction through vendor selection, construction detailing and value engineering

    To be successful in this role, candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline required

  • 7-10 years of project or construction management experience

  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical upgrades, sustainability projects, mechanical upgrades, and building controls

  • Understanding of the healthcare industry, especially in areas of clinical innovation, operational improvement, planning and strategic positioning for complex hospital systems required

  • Estimating experience preferred

  • Certification in LEED, AIA, or CMAA a plus

  • Experience with Lean and evidence-based design a plus

  • Working knowledge of either Revit or AutoCAD is a plus

  • 40-50 % national travel is required
