The XBR Systems Engineering Team Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for the execution of a subset of SE scope for the XBR program. This includes task planning to create milestones and schedules and managing competing priorities. Typical activities executed by the teams include algorithm/requirements development, testing, analysis, support to software development/integration, and customer presentations. The successful candidate will be expected to build the team’s abilities and be able to work with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate :

  • Product Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for the team, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing task plans

  • Product Quality and Escalation: Partner closely with XBR SW and SE development teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of team products and services and escalating concerns as appropriate XBR IPT and CPT

  • Prioritization: Prioritize tasks based on customer feedback, and technical feasibility, ensuring the team works on high-priority items

  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document product requirements to provide a clear understanding for development teams

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and development teams, to ensure everyone is aligned with the product vision

  • Roadmap Development: Work with XBR IPT and CPT on creating and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the delivery schedule and milestones along with future development paths

  • Program Increment (PI) Planning: Participate in PI planning, including prioritization of tasks, sprint planning, and coordination of cross-team dependencies in a scaled Agile framework environment.

    Qualifications You Must Have :

Typically a minimum of 8+ years engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 5+ years related work experience.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

    Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience in Electronic Protection or Signal Processing development

  • Experience in an agile environment

  • Experience with Engineering tools (e.g MATLAB)

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
