Robert Half Production Supervisor in Woburn, Massachusetts
Description We are in the process of hiring a Production Supervisor to join our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be overseeing a team of manufacturing associates, enforcing compliance with safety policies, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and coordinating staffing resources to meet productivity targets.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of manufacturing associates, including team leads
• Implement safety policies and procedures, and conduct safety investigations and audits
• Ensure the quality of products by implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage inventory to minimize excess and ensure adequate stock for production
• Coordinate and manage staffing resources to meet productivity targets
• Develop and implement standardized work instructions for the assigned department(s)
• Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement, training, and empowerment initiatives
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and counseling to team members
• Administer disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy Requirements • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role
• Demonstrable skills in Warehouse Management
• Expertise in Production Management
• Familiarity with International Shipping procedures and regulations
• Experience with Shipping & Receiving operations
• Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with an ability to inspire, motivate and mentor a team
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory processes
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant certification or degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
