Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support design engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
As a Section Lead you’ll manage employees to deliver on our contractual requirements in the areas of Government Furnished Property and Repair and Return Management. The Section Lead will use manpower planning, project cost account management using Earned Value Management System (EVMS), cost proposal development and Estimate At Completion (EAC) analysis.
Additional responsibilities will include the following employee-focused areas:
Employee performance development and assessment
Ensure quality and timeliness of work products produced within the section
Employee growth, productivity improvement, and recognition
Personnel issue resolution
Ensuring compliance with company policies/procedures
Ensuring all personnel are properly prepared and trained for the tasks they are assigned
Leveraging best practices across all programs
Growing capabilities of the section to meet future customer needs
Approximately 5% travel is required.
This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Woburn, MA or Hunstville, AL facilities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
Experience developing and executing engineering contract deliverables
Experience leading teams
Experience in a technical environment managing budgets and using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Demonstrated understanding of program Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, and electrical schematics), Change Notices (CNs)/Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), technical manuals, and tool catalogs.
Raytheon Level II EVMS or equivalent
Experience with Government material tracking, R&R and Depot repair planning
Ability to develop briefings and present to audiences up to 50 persons on technical plans, status, and results
US Military - supply chain familiarity
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Aptitude in creating and implementing metrics-based execution plans

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
