Robert Half Staff Accountant in Woburn, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Woburn, Massachusetts. As a Staff Accountant you will be involved in a variety of accounting tasks including reviewing accounts payable, cash focus with some accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, month end support, and using ERP systems with a strong knowledge in Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Review and process accounts payable transactions
• Manage cash and accruals accurately
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Record journal entries as required
• Provide support during the month end closing process
• Utilize ERP systems for various accounting tasks
• Display a strong proficiency in Excel for accounting purposes
• Assist in managing customer credit applications and records
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and accurately
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliation processes
• Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger
• Experience in preparing Journal Entries
• Capable of executing Month End Close tasks
• Proficient in using NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting functions
• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting is essential
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
