Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The AN/TPY-2 System Integration and Test (SI&T) Sustaining Engineering sub-Cross Product Team (sub-CPT) Lead is responsible for managing all cost, schedule, and execution for SI&T sustainment activities for the program. These activities include, but are not limited to, Directorate Estimate at Completion Reviews (EACs), Directorate-level proposal reviews, staffing projections, and monthly metrics tracking. The sub-CPT Lead ensures that the US government customer and end user have adequate reach back support for site operational and maintenance anomalies. The SI&T CPT Lead is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes system integration and test for all technical refresh updates and new software builds. The sub-CPT Lead may have opportunities to travel to site. The sub-CPT Lead will be the primary SI&T interface to the customer community, program management, the integrated product team (IPT), the chief engineer and other stakeholders. The individual in this role guides and supports a small team of Radar Systems Engineers in their analysis, reporting of radar performance, and development of troubleshooting and corrective action plans for a range of issues including mechanical, electrical, microwave, software and cyber security. The individual will work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, logisticians, and maintenance planners.

This position is an onsite role at the Woburn, MA location. Domestic and international travel up to 20%

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Manage the execution of all scope of work assigned to the SI&T Sustaining Engineering sub-CPT, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and review and approve any SI&T contract deliverables before delivery to the customer

• Support program growth through proposal development and the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools

• Lead internal status meetings with systems and site engineers and develop weekly technical status and issue reports

• Maintenance event planning with site team, Logistics, and Maintenance planning

• Provide guidance to systems and site engineers in development of fault isolation procedures, identification of root cause, and implementation of candidate corrective actions

• Responsible for developing a team capable of delivering products that include integration plans, integration information sheets (IIS), test plans, verification items (VI), analysis scripts, test procedures and test reports

• Interaction with Program Managers, Business Development, Directorate Managers, and Business Area VPs to achieve business objectives

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior experience in Systems Engineering and/or System Integration.

• Experience working with customers to develop and execute program test strategies

• Experience with preparing both technical and cost proposals, Cost Account Manager (CAM)

• EVMS Certified

• Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with X-Band radar technology (such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, etc.), radar hardware and software

• Strong MATLAB knowledge and experience with root cause analysis of radar systems and interoperability

• Experience with Linux operating system environment and knowledge of Cybersecurity techniques

• Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle

• Experience working on international programs

• Experience in management of diverse engineering teams

• 5+ years in technical and program leadership positions (IPT Lead, CPT Lead, Project Manager, Systems Lead, Test Director, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
