Job Description:

The Radars and Sensors Center within SI&T seeks talented recent graduates to join our teams as Systems Engineers supporting Integration, Verification, and/or Ground/Flight Test.

We integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment

  • Support test planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Ground/Flight Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a test range

  • Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment

  • Complete detailed system performance analysis, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB

  • Support test events, including flight test and field events, either in the US or internationally

  • Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND

  • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues with electronics or software systems in an academic or internship setting,

  • Experience completing data analysis using tools such as MATLAB/Python

  • Exposure to the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, etc)

  • Willingness to travel. Occasional local travel between RMD facilities in both MA and southern NH is expected

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols

  • Experience with analysis of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to analysis

  • Experience with reading and integrating C/C++ software routines with hardware/electronics

  • Experience with the Command Line Interface for Linux/UNIX

  • Proficiency with commonly used test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.

  • Exposure to the concepts of Radar operations

  • Coursework in digital signal processing, algorithm development, electromagnetism

  • Exposure to Agile development

  • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
