Ethos Veterinary Health Veterinary Lab Attendant in Woburn, Massachusetts

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Lab Attendant  to join our team in Woburn, MA.

The Veterinary Lab Attendant  will assist the veterinary teams in day to day performance of laboratory tests and recording results accurately into the hospital information system.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and processes all lab samples and enters results in the hospital information system

  • Prepares applicable specimens for external/specialty lab testing, including proper completion of external laboratory submission forms, packaging, and shipping

  • Unpacks and re-stocks supplies

  • Fills out laboratory logbooks accurately and appropriately and adheres to logbook protocols (e.g., shipping, temperature logs, etc.)

    Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years’ experience in professional working environment

  • 1-2 years in a laboratory setting preferred

  • Veterinary technician experience helpful

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Must possess ability to stand on a continuous basis up to 10 hours a day

  • Must possess ability to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal skills and able to work independently with little supervision

  • Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work

  • Must be extremely detail oriented and possess excellent follow through
