Marine Biological Laboratory Housing and Conference 1 in Woods Hole, Massachusetts
Greet and process clients of the MBL.
Perform functions related to the arrival and departures of housing clients
including processing computerized checkin/out
verifying the accuracy of account information
Record completion of required paperwork/documentation within individual reservations in order to ensure compliance with rules/regulations to be on campus
Checking housing units to ensure that they are ready for checkin
Prepare and distribute Check Out Notices as needed.
Answer and direct calls from switchboard and two way radio. Answer and direct calls from office telephones as needed.
Schedule meeting rooms for use by internal and external clients.
Assist in providing services to course/conference groups, including checking event set-ups, setting up tables, checking on catering, etc.
Prepare, distribute and provide direction for parking passes and locations on campus.
Prepare, distribute and troubleshoot problems with ID cards.
Perform clerical duties as needed.
Handle customer complaints.
Assist with emergencies. Contact appropriate personnel and write incident reports as needed.
Communicate with security staff as needed.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

- High School/GED or better
- Computer skills preferably with Windows, web based applications, including StarRez, CCure. - ability to get learn and utilize database software quickly
- excellent customer service skills, including the ability to problem solve and resolve conflict effectively - Excellent organizational and clerical skills. - Self-motivated, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with diverse populations. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods of time as necessary.
