We are currently hiring a Dental Lab Coordinator based in Worcester. The Dental Lab Coordinator leads, plans, and organizes all the activities of the dental laboratory including supervision and training of Dental Laboratory Technicians, inventory management and actively engage in the daily design, fabrication, and repair of dental prostheses under the supervision of a Dentist.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for checking schedules of providers for the next day and week and organize lab cases for delivery.

  •  Input cases in EPM while checking insurance, payments, prior authorizations, working time for completion of cases and check next appointment, create a task with this information, and place case in right section for lab technician to complete with due date.

  • Monitor and track outgoing lab cases to outside labs for pick-up and delivery; monitor cases for each provider to ensure appointments have been made and cases are completed in a timely manner and reschedule appointments if necessary.

  • Check daily reports for no-shows and cancellations in lab cases in order to follow up with another appointment so as not to keep the case on hold.

  • Manage completed cases for storage to Iron Mountain; Manage and track invoices from outside labs and once collected send to dental director for final signature.

  • Manage an excel spreadsheet with invoices to track outside lab cases and file the copy of the invoice.

  • Order supplies in collaboration with dental lab supervisor through e-requestor.

  • Track supplies by comparing order, invoice, and packing slip and send original invoice to dental director. Once received, attach the invoice to e-requestor receiving for accounting department.

  • Works a fluctuating work schedule including day, evenings, and occasionally a Saturday shift (9am-1pm).

    Education and Experience:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Computer skills

  • High School diploma

  • 2+ years’ experience in the dental field as receptionist and/or dental assistant

  • Our health center requires all employees to have the most recent COVID-19 booster and the yearly flu vaccine.
