Community Healthlink Director of Human Resource in Worcester, Massachusetts

Come join a friendly and diverse Human Resource team that provides quality support to more than 80 programs! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Director of Human Resources in Worcester, MA.

  • Oversees the daily management and operations of the HR office and Supervise HR staff.

  • Oversee recruitment, advertising and hiring process.

  • Serves as the main liaison with the Bargaining Unit.

  • Maintain personnel files and employee benefit information

  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to personnel.

  • Coordinate benefits and oversee broker(s).

  • Serve as member of the Executive Management Team, Management Team and Operations Committees.

  • Works cooperatively with management staff to evaluate and implement CHL procedures

  • Maintains and updates job descriptions and employee handbook

  • Is available to all staff to advise and aid as necessary with personnel and benefit issues

  • Conducts new employee orientations and assistance in completion of paperwork

  • Maintain OSHA Logs

  • Performs other related duties

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Conducts on-going performance evaluations with staff

  • Ensures department deadlines are being met

  • Works well with other department Directors and coordinators

  • Assesses and evaluates departmental needs

  • Integrates department programs with overall agency goals and Long Range Plans

  • Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

  • Master's Degree required

  • Background and experience in Human Resources

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated ability in assuming responsibility and initiative for implementing office procedures

  • Experience with implementing employee benefit programs

  • Comprehensive knowledge of personnel policies and labor rules and regulations

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little direction or oversight

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

  • Must have visual, physical, and technical ability to independently use a computer and photocopier; requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching; requires regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing

  • Oversees the daily management and operations of the HR office and staff

  • Must be able to pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Background Check)
