Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers Environmental Scientist - Wetlands in Worcester, Massachusetts

The Environmental Scientist - Wetlands will join an experienced team of project managers, scientists, and engineers in our Worcester, Massachusetts office with an ability to work on multidisciplinary projects with staff from our twelve regional offices in the Northeast region (remote work is available throughout the summer and a hybrid remote approach is anticipated after that). Qualifications 2-5 years of environmental consulting experience B.S. degree or equivalent (M.S. preferred) in a natural sciences field (Environmental Science, Biology, Soil Science, Ecology or a related field), with coursework in biology, hydrology, botany and soils Demonstrated ability in wetland delineation, field data collection and analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing experience Experience with wetlands protection regulations and permitting Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, must embrace challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills Preferred candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of being able to work both independently on specific assignments and as part of a large team on multidisciplinary projects Preferred candidates have or are on track to obtain relevant professional certifications such as: Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Registered or Professional Soil Scientist, Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB)6/8/2021 Career Center https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg03/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition' org=TIGHBOND2&cws=37&rid=572 2/2 Responsibilities Wetland delineation and functional analysis Wetland restoration and mitigation design Environmental compliance monitoring Preparation of technical deliverables, including local, state and federal wetland permit applications Public presentation of projects to municipal boards Our best-in-class compensation and benefits package includes competitive salaries, profit sharing, an employee wellness program, a generous health care plan, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, ESOP, 401(k) plan, PTO, internal training and professional development, and a tuition reimbursement program.
