M.S. Walker Fine Wine Sales Representative - Worcester, MA in Worcester, Massachusetts

M.S. Walker has been an Importer and Distributor of Fine Wines & Spirits since 1933, family-owned and operated for five generations, and known for SERVICE, INTEGRITY, and a WORLD-CLASS dynamic portfolio of top tier producers.

We have an open territory in the Worcester area of MA. We're looking for someone who will achieve maximum sales profitability by selling products to customers and solicit new business for the company and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact new and existing retail customers to discuss their product needs through a relationship-based approach

  • Quote prices and answer customer questions about products, prices and availability

  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on knowledge of product

  • Maintain customer records using automated system

  • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing

  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information

  • Coordinate efforts with sales administration and purchasing on contract orders

  • Understand a comprehensive knowledge of wine varietals and international wines in addition to all M. S. Walker products, including current prices, vintages, regional identity, awards and press

  • Hold weekly in-person review with each customer account for items to be replenished; Present all current programs, quota items, and company initiatives

  • Strategize on how best to achieve sales and merchandising objectives on a monthly basis; Maintain accurate historical account purchase information; Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales growth in line with stated overall Fine Wine Division sales goals

  • Communicate with Management on all sales issues, inventory levels and out of stock situations due to possible fluctuations in demand

  • Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, trade shows, conventions, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks

  • Accomplish other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 7 years' experience in wine and spirits industry

  • Minimum 5 years experience in sales

  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs.occasionally

  • Relationship building and selling skills a must

  • Active driver's license
