The HR Manager will support and partner with the site leadership team while managing all aspects of Human Resources Support & Talent Engagement for Saint-Gobain Composites' manufacturing facility in Worcester, MA.- Will play an integral role on the site leadership team in helping to achieve business goals and objectives.

The HR Manager is responsible for the establishment, implementation and administration of a wide range of programs across multiple shifts and other SBU commercial/SBU functions .

Key accountabilities:

Partners with site leadership team to effectively deliver HR programs, employee engagement and business results. Provides counseling and advice on various Human Resources topics to support the business. Partnering encompasses all aspects of HR as well as EHS and WCM.

  • Compensation

  • Annual/recurring performance management processes

  • Government compliance

  • Communications

  • Diversity programs

  • Community relations

  • Administration of attendance and corrective action programs/policies

Compliance (Policies & Procedures) - Will establish, evaluate and lead the development, dissemination and interpretation of personnel policies and their implementation at the site, providing consultation to the management team.-

  • Manages maintenance/update of records, procedures and practices

  • Establishes and maintains relevant records and reports

  • Compliance with proper employment regulations, policies and practices

  • Including, compliance with 'EEO' and other governmental reporting requirements

  • Strict adherence and a commitment carrying out the Corporate and legal policies and regulations in these areas is required

  • Adherence to ICRF and development of programs/processes-

Training & Development -

  • Work with management team to develop, deliver & document required training and employee growth programs for new and existing employees.

  • Facilitate all new employee orientations.

  • Oversee the development of employees.

  • Manage projects through World Class Manufacturing methodologies and within the areas of People Development.

Employee Relations (Performance Management & Engagement) -

  • Annual employee surveys

  • Site level activities

  • performance management processes, coordinate the annual appraisal processes

  • Review of policy or ethics violations

  • Investigation of and response of employee needs

Recruitment/Staffing & Workforce Planning – Proactively works with the management team to assess needs and identify the appropriate method for recruitment either internally or externally. Conducts proactive diverse outreach and relationship building.

  • Utilization of ATS/systems

  • Partnering with talent sourcing team

  • Use of temporary employees

  • Building and strengthening the internal talent pipeline

  • Strategic workforce planning

Work Experience:

  • 5+ Years experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment is required.-

  • 3+ years experience- in Human Resource Management capacity (management of people or partner with senior level management team) is preferred.

Practical /Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical skills, strong problem solving skills, strong training capability is required.

  • HRIS experience- is required.-

Licenses and Certifications:

  • PHR or SPHR certification (or equivalent) is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Individuals will need to sit and work at a desk or phone for long periods and may be walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs/steps periodically. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. This position may include lifting up to 35 pounds on occasion.
