Manufacturing Technician Specialists II provide line engineering and product support for assigned product families by performing advanced specialized technical functions involving analyzing, improving, installing, operating and/or solving problems concerning complex production processes, equipment and new product introduction. May apply specialized knowledge of engineering systems, tooling, molds and quality testing to troubleshoot and problem solve product, process and quality of product while reducing rejection rates, material costs and customer complaints.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and ISO certified internal auditor is a plus.

• Experience working in a document control function in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge and experience with certified quality system, ISO 9001.General manufacturing skills such as blueprint reading, advanced math skills (measure in standard and metrics, conversions on volumes).

• Knowledge and use of standard measuring devices (micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.).

• Understanding of general dimensioning and tolerance, capable of looking at a drawing and being able to interpret it. Capability to use personal computer and Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and Power Point for presentations.

• Knowledge of SAP, including routings BOM’s, Sales order creation and review and related aspects concerning researching and identifying products, processes, and all aspects of product manufacture and deployment.

• This position requires at least 12 months' work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job and prior operator experience.

Physical Demands/Efforts

• Repetitively lifts up to 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally maneuvers or handles greater than 50 pounds with assistance.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.

• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.

Mental & Visual Demands

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job within the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne dust.
