This Opportunity

WSP has an immediate opportunity for a Party Chief to work out of our Merrimack, NH office. The following locations will also be considered: Worcester, MA and Boston, MA. Be involved in projects with our Survey/Geospatial Team and be part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Candidate can expect to be a leading role in the field for work on a wide variety of projects including transportation, environmental, water/wastewater, commercial, residential, solid waste, and energy. From rural areas to urban areas.

  • Perform boundary & topographic surveys; engineering design surveys; GPS surveys

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, location data, statistical documentation, studies and surveys, and construction.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • The candidate should have 3+ years with a survey degree or 8+ years with no degree, working in the survey profession and capable of handling topographic surveys using conventional and/or geodetic technology.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • General efficiency in Auto CAD - capable of downloading and editing field data

  • General awareness of land survey principles, practices, process, methods and techniques

  • Experience with robotic total station is a plus.

  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening

  • Proficiency with survey equipment

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives

  • Must possess a willingness to learn

  • Must be willing to work in all environments (rural, suburbs, city, etc.)

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
