The People Business Partner Consultant will be responsible for providing client groups with strategic consulting on people programs, organization development and other People Team specific or business initiatives. Analyzes people related metrics, trends, and root causes to develop solutions that balance risk and cost management throughout the organization. Directly reporting to the Senior People Business Partner for OI Payer will allow this role the opportunity to help drive consistency within the analytics approach for data driven decision making. Additionally acts as a liaison between client groups and centers of excellence teams that help drive and support corporate initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with People Business Partners and business leaders in the development and production of standard and ad-hoc reports to drive actionable decision making

  • Create and maintain internal process documentation and customer-facing materials for items such as: employee experience reporting, quarterly business reviews, and organizational health

  • Supports projects and change initiatives aligned to key priorities

  • Outline and influence the alignment of People strategies to business initiatives to ensure client groups consider the people impact and the communication and change management needs of their decisions

  • Critical thinking of business concerns and collaborating with centers of excellence and others to align appropriate resourcing and solutions to issues

  • Proactively review people data to anticipate areas of focus for the talent strategy

  • Partner with the Talent Business Partner on closing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) or other talent gaps and leverage data to ensure measurement of progress against our People goals and Measured Business Objectives (MBO’s)

  • Drive an organizational environment that is agile, flexible, and responsive to customer needs

  • Apply knowledge of current and best practices in Human Resources to enhance business outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing business, financial, human capital data (or educational equivalent)

  • Proven experience working independently and collaborate effectively with others

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

  • 2+ years of experience in report development and dashboard building (or educational equivalent)

  • Proven experience researching issues, investigating data accuracy, and performing quality checks

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in data extraction, manipulation, and management

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with DOMO

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
