Job Title: Production Material Handler
Job Description
Join our dynamic team at a plant that processes raw ores into fine material used for a variety of products such as sandpaper. As a production material handler, you will operate grinding machines and handle materials using sit-down propane forklifts.
Responsibilities
Work with a team of approximately 10 people to operate the plant's machines.
Fill, transport, and palletize materials which are placed into drums or large bags, using forklifts or by hand depending on the size.
Monitor machines for issues or contamination.
Periodically use various hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and mallets.
Essential Skills
Basic computer and math skills.
Basic tool experience (wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets).
Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed, as well as walk/stand for 10-hour shifts.
Experience with or willingness to learn forklift operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience is preferred, but candidates with machine operating experience and a willingness to learn forklift operation will be considered.

Work Environment
This is a manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled, which means it can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The area can sometimes get dusty from the material, so comfort with such conditions is necessary. First shift is Monday to Thursday from 5am to 3pm, with occasional required work on Fridays. Second shift is Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 1am, with occasional required work on Fridays.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Grafton, Massachusetts.
