Description and Responsibilities
Open Sky is seeking compassionate individuals who are looking to work for a large human service organization where there are opportunities to build a rewarding and meaningful career. The Young Adult Access Drop-In Center serves youth aged 16-26 in need of support and resources to achieve independence and accomplish life changes. Program staff will work with youth on their goals around mental health, economic stability, housing, substance use, employment preparation, self-advocacy, parenting and pregnancy, access to entitlements, or a number of other needs or barriers to success. The program also will make referrals to more intensive services within and outside of the Open Sky Network as needed.
The P rogram Coordinator provide s leadership and oversight of all operations for the Young Adult Access Center . This is a regular full-time, benefits-eligible position. The working hours are 11am-7pm Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing leadership and supervision to the Young Adult Access Center staff positions.
Oversight of the program facility and budget .
Supporting and implementing the standards and practices of the Transition to Independence (TIP) Model .
Participation in community events and representation of the Y oung Adult Access Center and Open Sky through community advocacy .
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Services or Social Services related field, or equivalent required. Alternative education/experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
At least three years of supervisory and management experience in program operations.
Exp erience working y oung adults, youth, and families, including knowledge of the unique developmental needs of this population.
