ABOUT YOU
As a Temporary Terminal Utility Person (Bargaining Unit Local No. 25), at Worcester Regional Airport, you are a dependable and proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, committed to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and efficient operation of airport facilities. You remain calm under pressure, ready to respond effectively to emergencies as part of a team. With strong communication skills, you navigate interactions with customers, supervisors, and agencies like the TSA and State Police with ease. Your hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset equip you to handle maintenance tasks and resolve issues independently, ensuring a smooth and secure airport environment.
What you will do:
Monitor exit lanes to prevent unauthorized access to secure areas.
Perform cleaning, light maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks inside and outside airport buildings, following instructions as needed.
Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and handle various assigned duties to keep the premises safe and accessible.
Respond to emergencies following airport protocols and assist customers, maintaining equipment and providing support as required.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Basic reading, writing, mathematical, and communication skills in standard English.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (except for corrective lenses) and ability to maintain a Massport Security Badge.
Ability to successfully complete Airport Security Training, pass the airfield driving test, and obtain necessary airfield licenses.
